What the F is coworking?
It’s the antithesis to corporate culture with the mod cons of office vital to running your business with ease. It’s a space for like-minded creatives, freelancers, startups and entrepreneurs to come together, work in harmony and feed off the energy of the space (rather than feeling isolated at home, dealing with dodgy wifi or overstaying your welcome at the local coffee shop).
For more info on why coworking is the shiz, check out our blog post.
What time are you open?
You can come in anytime Monday to Friday between 8:30am-5pm. We’re not about killing yourself with long hours here. But if you’re keen to run an after-hours or weekend workshop, class or strategy session, we can organise that too. Get in touch to tell us your plans.
What’s the vibe like?
Think: Down-to-earth and friendly people just like you, working on exciting projects and up for the occasional brainstorm, chilled tunes in the background, sweet breezes flowing through the open-plan space and whether you want a solid power-work session or just someone to go on too many daily coffee runs with you, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded souls.
What other pros are there?
Fast, reliable WiFi. Printer and scanner. Plenty of space to spread out and collaborate. Central location with great coffee and food within reach (plus, we have a Nespresso coffee machine on hand if you just can’t tear yourself away from your laptop). Access to inspiring regular events so you can skill up and connect with other businesses on the coast. We also have a fab meeting room so you can hold those business meetings like a boss, record podcasts, host webinars and meet with clients in a more professional setting than your lounge room.
But what will I eat?
Share Space is right in the middle of Maroochydore CBD, meaning great coffee and food options are on tap with Ocean Street right around the corner and the Sunshine Plaza just a quick 5-minute walk or ride. (Here are some of our fave lunch deals in the hood!) But if you opt to bring in your own lunch, our kitchen has got you covered with a toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer and cutlery. Bon appetit!
Where the bloody hell are ya?
If Google Maps isn’t helping, you can find us behind Universal Hair on the corner of Beach Road and Duporth Avenue in Maroochydore, tucked in next to Allure Medi Spa and Beauty Lounge. Keep an eye out for an old-school church and you’ll be fine. If you a prefer a birdseye view to get some perspective, click here.
Where do I park?
Access to the Share Space car park is via Beach Road, opposite Bridgestone Select Tyre and Auto. We do have a limited number of designated car spots, but don’t fret, head a block down and you will find heaps of street parking with no restrictions. Permanent car parking can be arranged upon request for a fee. Get in touch if you’d like us to help you hook that up!
Who else works there?
Change-makers, entrepreneurs and legends like yourself! We’ve had copywriters, graphic designers, digital marketing gurus, photographers, app and WordPress developers, videographers, engineers, recruiters, and even a meditation teacher call Share Space their (work) home. So what are you waiting for? Come down and meet some like-minded, creative people (they’re all super nice!).
What do I do if I need to make/take a phone call?
Chat away! But if you feel like it’s going to be a long call and you’d rather not disturb your fellow creatives, you can always pop into the Un-Bored Room if it’s free.
What kind of classes/workshops can I hold there?
Pilates, yoga, photos shoots, meditation, presentations, brainstorming sessions, interviews, exams, courses, information evenings, networking events… just to name a few! Call us on 07 5641 1982 or drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org, or come and check out the space for yourself, to find out how we can help.
I need a break, what can I do?
Make a Nespresso coffee or chai tea and chillax on the couch with some magazines (Salt, Smith Journal, Frankie and The Collective are some favourites on-hand), play a few rounds of noughts and crosses, become the reigning champion of ping pong, take a borrow bike down to the Maroochy River, or grab a sweet treat from one of the cafes on Ocean Street. If you haven’t met TOME yet, prepare your waistline!
