10 of the best lunch spots in Maroochydore

When the clock strikes midday, it’s time to stop what you’re doing and get yourself something delicious.

Being in the CBD of the Sunshine Coast, we’ve come to know a thing or two about the top places to satisfy those lunchtime cravings.

Leave your leftovers at home, because we’re serving up 10 of the best lunch spots in Maroochydore.

1. Pum’s Kitchen

There’s nothing like some Thai to cure those hangry feels.

Pum’s Kitchen in the Big Top Market Fresh have got you sorted with hearty curry and noodle dishes that will fill you up for as little as $11.50.

You have to try: If you like a little spice, the Pad Kae Maow stir-fried noodles.

2. Greenout Cafe & Bar

Stuff your face with some healthy goodness at Greenout Cafe & Bar.

Vegans and vegetarians will be in a tapas heaven with their share plates, but make sure you have a squiz of their $10 lunch menu first.

You have to try: The fish tacos!

3. Hello Harry

Treat yourself to one of the funkiest burger joints in town.

Can you believe Hello Harry‘s mouth-watering burgers are a bargain 10 bucks all day, every day?! Add some sweet potato fries and a shake, and that’s lunch sorted.

You have to try: The Louisiana pulled pork burger and a salted caramel shake.

4. Junk

Tasty Asian street food comin’ atcha hot and delicious from Junk.

Simple, fresh and packed full of flavour, hit ’em up and go to town on some edamame, dumplings and pork buns pronto.

You have to try: The ramen bowl.

5. Zahtar

While we’re pretty big fans of the delish $10 lunch wraps at Zahtar on Ocean Street, we INSIST you try one of their traditional mains and platters for an authentic taste of Lebanon on the coast.

You have to try: The Kafta Lebanese spiced mince with hommus, salad and flatbread. PS. they also do a mean falafel wrap.

6. Elixiba

Pull up in a treehouse booth and get munchin’ on some unique tapas at Elixiba.

From their colour-changing drinks to yummy share plates, everything at this herbal bar and vegan restaurant is infused with a variety of rare and wonderful active botanicals. So not only does everything taste incredible, but it’s all good for you too (even the cocktails!).

You have to try: Sweet potato and beetroot chips + sesame tofu bites + coconut calamari + vitality rice paper rolls… yep, that should do the trick.

7. Yum Cha Cuisine

Yum Cha Sunshine Plaza

Ain’t nothing like a little office bonding over a table full of Yum Cha.

Grab your coworkers and make your way to the Sunshine Plaza for some finger-lickin’ fried chicken feet, sweet and sour pork and all other Chinese delights in between.

You have to try: BBQ pork buns, asian greens and honey chicken.

8. Sushi Ichiban

Sushi Ichiban

Sushi is always a good time, but a bento box from Sushi Ichiban at the Big Top Market Fresh is a party in your mouth.

From karage chicken to teriyaki tofu, these boxes of lunchtime happiness come with a hefty side of steamed rice, edamame or calamari rings and a garden salad, and are so filling that although I struggle trying to smash the whole thing, I always do because they’re just so damn tasty. #noregrets

You have to try: The vegetarian bento.

Cake counts as lunch, right?

It’s no secret we’re obsessed with TOME, so if you’re feeling the sweet more than the savoury, hit up the sunny coast cake gods.

*Most of their cakes are gluten free, too!

You have to try: All of them. Seriously. You will never be disappointed.
